Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon and Kansas City, Mo., Mayor Mark Funkhouser have proclaimed Saturday, Oct. 30, Weatherization Day for the state and the city. To celebrate the day, the Green Impact Zone Low-Income Weatherization Assistance Program will host a free Halloweatherization Celebration for residents in and around the zone from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 4600 Paseo, Kansas City, Mo. The event will feature live entertainment, trick-or-treating, games, a moonwalk and a costume contest, as well as information on weatherization and energy conservation programs for residents in and around the Green Impact Zone.
